ParticipantYou know what, I just updated to 3.9.1 and the problem disappeared. It seems that something may have been wonky with the core files (probably my fault). This can be considered resolved.

ParticipantOkay. I just tried the calendar on a fresh install of WordPress with no customizations and the plugin works fine (which I assumed would be the case). However, that doesn’t really get me anywhere besides proving that I’m not going crazy…
Is it worth noting that I have the Filter Bar and the Community Events plugin running on the problem installation?

ParticipantAHH!! this is crazy. I keep posting the link in the middle of a sentence and it is completely removing everything surrounding the link. I’m about to paste a few versions in hopes that one makes it through.

Participantweird. I just wrote a whole post and only the last few lines made it through.
Anyway, here’s the link to my code.January 20, 2015 at 1:25 pm in reply to: Organizer/Venue info not showing on single events template. #935363360zen
ParticipantHere’s my custom meta box code. It is a function provided by CMB2, but essentially follows the same format as register_meta (or whatever the WordPress function is).
There is no change when I comment that bit out.
Thanks,
Justinp.s. I don’t think the “Notify me of follow-up replies via email” feature is working on my account.

ParticipantOkay, I just added
<?php the_meta(); ?>to the page and got an empty<ul></ul>. Is it possible that I broke it when I added a custom meta box to the Events post type? It seems normal on the back end…360zen
ParticipantOh my gosh. Sorry, I accidentally clicked “correct answer”. For some reason I can’t post a link using the “link” feature.
Here’s the URL https://gist.github.com/AbacusPowers/5a2753f035c89e2c2323
Hoping this doesn’t get ignored because of my mistake…

ParticipantIt appears my link was removed from the last post (and there’s also no way to edit the post…strange).

ParticipantThis would be awesome.

ParticipantOh weird! The test venue was the one causing 404 errors earlier. Perhaps the solution was to deactivate and reactivate my theme? Anyway, it does look like it’s working now. Thanks.

ParticipantThat fixed it. Thanks! I’ll let you know if I figure out what was causing it.

ParticipantHi Barry,
The script that you posted is just one of 4 or 5 different jQuery scripts/plugins that I have tried with this page. All have failed when placed on the same page as The Events Calendar. With a default theme and no other plugins, I get no errors… presumably because there is no other jQuery to conflict with. Are you suggesting that The Events Calendar was designed to only be run on a default theme with no other plugins?360zen
ParticipantAnother thread with the same issue. Again, it was blamed on the theme… I’m pretty concerned by this because it looks like none of these have been resolved.

ParticipantI’d be happy to give a support representative login or debugging privileges if that would help. Looks like this guy had the same problem and it never got resolved: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/3-2-upgrade-breaks-infocus-theme-timthumb-image-resizing/#post-78837

ParticipantHi there,
I’m having this exact same issue and it is killing my current project. I have multiple other jquery functions that all break when Events Calendar is active. -
