Calendar widget is messed up. Does not list the events underneath for the month selected. Meanwhile in the backend the filter selection for the Calendar widget is messed up. Cannot disable “event categories” filter. It keeps being selected no mattter what one do. You’ve really fucked things up.

Event list widget messed up. It says no events coming up. Unless you select a filter. At which point it will list all events, regardless of filters one pick.

You’ve really, really fucked things up. Thank you very much.
Very disappointing for a professional plugin. If it’s not broken don’t try to fix it. For godssakes.

    Howdy ragots,

I am very sorry sir! The goal of our plugin is to make people happy, not this.

I think the solution might be fairly simple though. Have you tried deleting those widgets completely, then adding them back? I faced a similar issue when I updated to 3.6, fortunately deleting it and adding it back solved things. I wish this bug was caught by QA. Unfortunately sometimes these things slip through the cracks. We will definitely by improving our update testing to try and catch all bugs like this in the future. We already test for it, but obviously not perfectly and thus have room for improvement.

Please let me know if the above helps you to resolve this issue. If not, I will research the problem further and see what else might can be done. Thanks for posting!

The Event list issue was resolved by deleting and adding the widget back.
The Mini Calendar widget issue still perstisted after I tried that trick.
I am not the only one with this Mini Calendar issue. I’ve seen other threads about this.

Ahh yes. That is a bug with no easy fix. The good news is though that a developer is already working on a fix, and we plan to push it out ASAP. Thank you for reporting this ragots, and for your help this weekend in answering other users questions. Let me know if you have any more questions. Cheers!

    Hi Brook

I’m hitting the same problem when testing with a clean install of WP 3.9.1, Twenty Fourteen, with only The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro (just purchased).

I’ve added 2 events in separate months with the intention of displaying any given month’s events in the sidebar using the mini calendar widget.

When the page loads, the widget looks fine: June’s one event is listed below the calendar. But when I click the arrows for next month (July), when it loads it’s the same June event. When I click on another month (to August), it lists the two June & July events!; when I click the back arrows, back to June, it then displays nothing. 🙁

Happy to let you have an admin to the installation if it will help you on the debugging.

Thank you for working on this as apart from this it’s a great plugin which the college is very keen to use.

I just wanted to let you both know in case you are now aware that version 3.6.1 fixed this bug. Please update your plugins, flush your browser cache, and retest. If for some reason this issue persists afterwards definitely let me know. Thanks!
