ParticipantI was developing my clients’ site using a temp IP address/URL and now the site is live I’m getting the following error. How do I fix this?

ParticipantThis was the temp URL I was using to develop the site:
http://109.199.119.244/~localsce/u3a.com.au/
Which is now the live site.

MemberHi Ian!
Thanks for getting in touch with us! Let me help you with that.
You can deactivate the license from your dev site by navigating to your licenses page
The Events Calendar PRO personal license can only be activated on one live site. Of course, you can use one license for a live and dev sites as you can learn in the following article > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-live-dev-sites/
I can see that your dev site was counted as a live site because it wasn’t one of the top level domains that we do not count for a dev site.
I hope that helps. Let me know if any follow up question.

ParticipantHi Victor,
My main concern is if I deactivate the licence what will that do to the
live site. I can’t have the events suddenly not showing on the live site or
unravelling all the work I’ve done on the site over the last month. The client has one of their biggest days commencing tomorrow so if the
current events are affected on http://www.u3a.com.au this would be a disaster? Please advise what will happen to the live site http://www.u3a.com.au if I
disconnect the temp IP address on your site?Need your prompt reply on this one pls.

MemberHi Ian,
We don’t limit any of our plugins functionalities if you don’t have a valid license in your site. You will just not be able to get automatic updates for it.
You can go ahead and deactivate the license from your site and the calendar should still work.
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Let me know

ParticipantDo I deactivate from the u3a.com.au or from your site?

MemberHi Ian,
In your licenses page, you should disconnect the old domain (which in your case is the IP address) from your Events Calendar PRO license key. This will allow the license key to be validated from the new domain.
I hope that helps 🙂

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
