Despite the above things being true, I will still try to help a bit here before closing this thread:
I would recommend heading to your site’s wp-config.php file and changing this line of code:
define('WP_DEBUG', false);
to this:
define('WP_DEBUG', true);
Once you have made this change, try activating The Events Calendar again.
Does any error text display on the white screen of death? If so, copy and paste the entire text of the error and share it here on this thread.
That might reveal the exact source of the problem which will be very helpful.
