    Hello,

After updating TEC and TEC Pro, the events are getting imported from facebook with a date of Jan, 1st 1970, I checked in the database, the date is actually saved like that and not just displaying.
I tried a manual update, the date is fine on the preview but as soon as it gets executed, it gets messed up.

    Please Advise,
    Thank you.

    Hi Adrien!

Thanks for reaching out to us. I am really sorry you are having this issue. 🙁

I could reproduce the error so I created the bug report and linked this thread to it so the team will let you know when the bug fix is released in a future version.

I did narrow the issue down to only one Import setting and it seems to be only when Event Update Authority is set to “Import events but preserve local changes to event fields.” I know it’s not ideal, but in the meantime if setting another option works for you I would encourage to do so.

You can get to that setting in Events > Settings > Imports tab under the Event Update Authority and you should select one of the other options to prevent the issue.

Let me know if any other questions.

    Best!

Thank you for your prompt answer,

I already downgraded to TEC and TEC Pro 4.4.4, the update authority option is kind of a big deal for our site so I can’t change it but thank you for pointing it out.

This reminds me of something that is kind of related, I’m sorry if it’s the wrong place to ask it.

We are mainly using the agregator to import events from facebook pages and we have a big problem with venues (people selecting different facebook pages for venues, wrong adresses, bad titles etc…) and the update authority only works for events, meaning that as soon as we change details for venues, agregator creates a new venue.

is there a way to fix that or is it a planned future feature?

    Thank you.

    Hi Adrien!

    Thanks for the follow up!

I’m sorry that changing the update authority isn’t an option for you. Rest assured we will fix this bug in a future release and let you know about it.

Regarding your other issue, I understand what you mean. I think that being able to select whether to update or not venues (or even organisers) would be a useful thing to have as a setting. I could not find it as a future idea but I would encourage you to post it in our user voice here > https://tribe.uservoice.com/

If you need further assistance with this or any other thing, I will kindly ask you to open a new thread so it won’t get mixed up with this pending fix bug.

    Thanks!

    Victor

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
