ParticipantI have a page that pulls posts and events in DESC order and puts them in a grid using The Grid plugin.
After updating TEC Pro, the grid only seems to pull items from oldest to newest. Disabling TECPro (leaving TEC active) returns the grid to expected functionality.
I have also created grids using another plugin (Essential Grid) and the same problem exists. With TECPro, order DESC is ignored. Without TECPro, the order is as expected.
I see that there was a hotfix fix that addressed wrong date order, but it seems like there may still be an issue affecting plugins like this. Can you give me more information on what the error was that was fixed and how I might be able to go back to it?
Note, that in the live URL below, TECPro is disabled and the order is as expected (newest first).

MemberHi, Brian.
While we don’t provide support for such third-party plugins, this article might prove insightful: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/integrating-events-calendar-slider-revolution-essential-grid/
Maybe it’s looking at post date instead of the custom fields we use for Event Start and Event End dates.
Please let me know what you find out.

ParticipantHi, Cliff,
I’m sure the plugins are looking at post date, and that’s the behavior we want, because we want the events to appear in a list with other posts based on post date (not event date). The reason is simple, we want to advertise the event in the standard post feed by the date it was added, if it was based on start date it won’t match the rest of the feed.
This behavior must have changed with TECPro recently, because it was working fine till a recent update. Are you not setting post date any longer or what would cause this? And it’s only TECPro, because the non-pro still works fine.
So I guess the question becomes, how can I combine Events and regular posts with a descending order?

ParticipantIs there any update to this, please?
If TECPro cannot work in this way now, I have a serious problem. Can you explain why this changed? And is there any way to fix it?

MemberSorry for the delayed reply.
We don’t provide support for third-party plugins like Essential Grid, just the “Include events in main blog loop” option at wp-admin > Events > Settings > Display tab.
I am unsure how or why this would have changed. Did Essential Grid maybe also update?
You could try downgrading your version of PRO and keep the latest version of Essential Grid and see how it works for you.
Please let me know what you find out.
