ParticipantDear tribe,
I recently had an issue with speed and had been in conversation with George. The client’s host provider moved the site to a new server on 1/20 “The newer server uses Litespeed web server which is a faster server but still compatible with Apache. It also uses Maria DB which is a faster but compatible DB to MySQL.”
We noticed today that the calendar date on mobile devices IOS and Android is not correct. It shows 1/20 as the current date. Please look it up on your phone to verify.
Not sure if this is an issue or not. When the site is loaded in IE, the spinner runs on the small front page calendar. It does not do this in Chrome.
The provider says its a plug in issue…. grrr. Can you help please?

MemberGood evening DeAnne and welcome back!
We are sorry to hear about the issue you have been experiencing with the date on mobile phones.
But we would love to help you get to the bottom of it.First of all, the good news is I followed your advice and tested this on my phone and everything seems to be working properly.
At the time of writing we are January 23rd and the mobile calendar view on my iPhone shows the correct date.Perhaps it can be due to:
- A caching issue resulting in the transfer of the website to the new server ?
- Improper caching of the Month view (found in Events -> Settings -> Display) ?
- The need to reconfigure the timezone settings both in WordPress and in the Events Calendar ?
- An unrefreshed page cache on the mobile phones were the issue appeared.
At any rate, I am unable to reproduce the issue currently, which is reassuring in this context.
My recommendation would be to kindly ask a couple of acquaintances to check on their phone to see if they encounter this issue.
Let me know what your findings are.
Have a great weekend,
Geoff B.
