wptouch displays event creation date, not event date

in the absence of a featured image, wpt displays the post date in the main blog loop, which is logical in a blog. but when the post is an event, wpt displays event creation date, not event date, which is very misleading)-:

i know wptouch doesn’t play nice with custom post types, but perhaps there is some other way than manually adding an event tag/cat to every event & excluding from wpt…

Thanks for getting in touch! I’ll help you here although is not something directly related to our plugin I’ll take a look and see if I can help you out on this one.

Can you please tell me which WPTouch theme you are using? I’ll try to reproduce this on my local install and see if I can find a way of making it right.

Also, just to be clear you want to prevent Events from showing up in the homepage, right?

Please let me know about it and I’ll see if this is possible,
