GuestI’m a subscriber to WPMUdev Premium, but their events+ plugin doesn’t sort upcoming events by distance to the visitor’s IP/Zip Code within a requested radius.<br><br>
3 Questions:<br><br>
1. How does your product handle displaying events sorted by distance to visitor’s IP/Zip code?<br><br>
2. How well does your product integrate with other WPMUdev plugins? Ie. Pro Sites, Domain Mapping, Multi-Domain? Etc.<br><br>
3. What license would be required for a WPMUDev installation? I have the primary install of wordpress on domain1, and my party planning wordpress linked to the same domain1 install, but using Pro Sites, Domain Mapping, Multi Domain, so that even though it’s the same WP install, it’s on a separate domain (same dedicated IP).

MemberHi there,
Thanks for your questions and I’ll do my best to get you the info you need to help make your decisions.
Firstly, at the moment the plugin does not automatically sort events based on a views zip or IP. However we do have the “Map View” which would give you a graphic representation based on location. You can see this in action over here: http://wpshindig.com/events/map/ – The location field does support zip codes – and produces a result based on miles from your location – see my example here of a zip code in Montana: https://cloudup.com/ccdBKs7mLTH – but this does not do so automatically based on the users IP – it will require user input. You can also make this view the default view that the user will see on loading the page initially.
Secondly, we strive to have our plugin compatible with as many plugins as possible. I can say I’ve seen many issues crop up with those plugins on our support forums – so thats always a good sign 😉 We do offer support on issues like this if they do crop up – and if there’s something we can do on our end to help within the scope of our support we will. However if you are worried about a specific scenario – my best advise is to maybe highlight that to us first, before purchasing, and see if we can give you a more accurate answer based on reviewing that scenarios details.
As to your third question: You don’t technically need to have a license key on each site, as long as you have one on the main site. That will give you access to support and updates. However, without a license key on the other sites you will likely need to manually download and install updates for those sites. If that is problematic for you, then you’d want to purchase the developer license.
Does that answer everything for you? Anything else I can clarify?
