ParticipantIt looks to me from my licensing set up that in order to have Events Calendar Pro work with WPML over two distinct domains you have to purchase 2 licenses. This is not how the majority of plugins operate and the effect is that you have to pay a premium to have Events Calendar Pro configured on a multi-lingual site.
Specific example:
Rather than having my languages as a suffix to the main domain url (i.e. instead of mydomain.com/en and mydomain.com/cy) I prefer to set up sites to have language specific URLs.
The live examples are:
* events.trac.wales and digwyddiadau.trac.cymru
As luck would have it, due to some early issues with WPML, I have a 3 site license granted to me temporarily (thanks). But I notice that both domains are listed as Events Calendar Pro licenses even though it’s installed and used on just the one WordPress site.
Could you advise? It makes the product a very expensive choice for bilingual (or multilingual) sites, and I am not sure that it’s what you would intend.

MemberHi Lorraine,
Thanks for getting in touch!
Licensing can be very tricky for a setup like this and it’s very true that we may not be adequately accounting for some variables in how we approach licensing. In either case, we’re always willing to work with you and others to find a way that works.
In this case, it appears you are managing multilingual with a multisite WordPress network. Is that correct?
If so, then the correct license level would be a Multisite License.
However, I completely hear and understand how the cost of a Multisite License can be prohibitive in cases where you may only be running two subdomains on the network. And I totally understand why you would prefer to manage multiple languages as subdomains on a network rather than a single site.
For that reason, the Business License you have will indeed work and enable automatic updates. The messaging may appear to give you mixed signals about that, but I can assure you that you are covered. That messaging is definitely one area where we can improve.
Does this help clarify things a bit? Please let me know and I’d be happy to answer any follow-up questions about our multisite licensing as best I can.
Cheers and happy Friday!
Geoff
