ParticipantHi there,
I am using your Plugin with WPML (2 Languages – German as default)1. When I click on one Event Calendar category and after that, try to switch the language, I got a empty Events overview page because the URL is incorrect.
Example page:
German URL: https://www.dcdualvet.org/events/kategorie/allgemein/
Empty English URL after switch: https://www.dcdualvet.org/en/events/kategorie/allgemein/
Should be URL: https://www.dcdualvet.org/en/events/kategorie/general/
The catergories are correct translated.
Any ideas to fix that?2. Single page does not show translated Organiser in EN
When switching from a German single event view to the English version, it shows always the German Version of the Organiser.
Do you know a solution for that.
Example page:
https://www.dcdualvet.org/en/dcevent/3rd-international-congress-on-vocational-and-professional-education-and-training-careers-through-skills/
Organiser URL EN: https://www.dcdualvet.org/en/organiser/state-secretariat-for-education-research-and-innovation-seri-2/
Organiser URL DE: https://www.dcdualvet.org/veranstalter/staatssekretariat-fuer-bildung-forschung-und-innovation-sbfi-2/Thanks for your support

MemberGood evening and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.By the looks of it, I believe you are missing at least one plugin to ensure proper compatibility.
I would highly recommend going through the following articles thoroughly as a first step:
- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-translations-for-events-using-wpml/
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantHi,
Thank you for your support.
I did make the settings for WPML twice, but unfortunately your recommended workarounds regarding the organizer/venues and WPML did not change anything (points 1+2).Please let me know, if you can offer a fix for these issues.
Thanks,

ParticipantGood morning Geoff B.
I am really surprised, that the translation management plugin has had influence on one of the issues.
Now it shows also the translated version of the organiser in English.
German: https://www.dcdualvet.org/event/3-internationaler-berufsbildungskongress-careers-through-skills/
English: https://www.dcdualvet.org/en/dcevent/3rd-international-congress-on-vocational-and-professional-education-and-training-careers-through-skills/A. Thank you – good job! Point 2 is solved now.:)
B. Point 1 with the categories is still open
C. It seems, the latest update of the events calendar generates an issue on the top of the right sidebar on the single page view. I recognized it after the update to EC Version 4.5.1 using the Avada-Theme. Together with WPML, the issue affects only on the default language (in my case German. The English version looks still fine)Best regards,

MemberGood evening Rene and thank you for writing back,
I am really surprised, that the translation management plugin has had influence on one of the issues.
Actually, it is key to everything working properly (as you can tell).
B. Point 1 with the categories is still open
This is most likely due to “Translate the theme and plugins using WPML’s string translation and load .mo files as backup” under “Theme and plugin localization”.
What is going on is that there is a competition at play for where the translation of the URL is going to come from.
You might have to “force this one” a tad.
Things to do:
- Try switching to Translate the theme and plugins using WPML’s string translation only (do not load .mo files)
- Head over to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting page.
Once you are there, you should see several cleanup buttons. I would recommend:
a) Clearing WPML cache
b) Using ALL the cleanup buttons on that page
c) Re-saving your permalinks - Look at all of your language files for our plugins and make sure they are either up to date or removed from the /wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder (if any)
- Force the slugs using a wpml-config.xml file as discussed here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/disable-wpml-translation-for-tribe_events-2/. You can read about it here: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/
As for the other display issue, I believe doing the procedure above will certainly help.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
