Marco
ParticipantHi there,
In my business I need to show events and sell tickets both in English and Italian, additionally some events are recurring.
Currently I’m running Event Tickets Plus, Events Calendar and Woocommerce, and thinking about upgrade to Events Calendar Pro and install WPML
If I understand correctly the documentation available, currently Event Tickets Plus does not support any:
– WPML
– Recurring eventsIf this is the case do you have a commitment on release date for any or both the topics.
thanks a lot

MemberGood afternoon Marco and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. If I understand correctly the documentation available, currently Event Tickets Plus does not support any:
– WPML
– Recurring eventsThat is officially accurate.
I am purposely saying officially because in both cases, there are things that can still be done, but there is no complete solution available.
Event Tickets Plus vs WPML
This feature is scheduled to be release later this year. Initially we planned for spring, but there has been some pushback. So I do not have a date at this point unfortunately.
In the meantime, you could get it to partially work, but this is unsupported.
To achieve that, you will need:
- WooCommerce multilingual
- Some manual intervention
After creating the ticket AND saving the event, head over to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting page.
Once you are there, you should see several cleanup buttons. I would recommend:
- Clearing WPML cache
- Using the button that forces language assignment to items (which is what is creating the issue). This can also be accomplished by deactivating and reactivating WPML.
Your ticket will now magically appear.
The only downside is that the tickets you create in other languages are not really translations of the initial ticket. They are completely independent new tickets.
Event Tickets Plus vs Recurring Events
We are currently completely re-designing our recurring events engine to support many new features including full Event Tickets Plus support.
Here again, I do not have a release date to offer alas. But stay tuned!
At the time of writing, you can still use Event Tickets Plus with recurring events, but there is a major caveat: the tickets created are exactly the same for all events.
In other words, these tickets are shared between all events.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantThanks a lot Geoff,
that’s much clear now, nevertheless before taking any actions, just few more details
Event Tickets Plus vs WPML
Some manual intervention
1 Clearing WPML cache
2 Using the button that forces language assignment to items …is this manual intervention just during ticket creation? Not after the buying process by attendee?
..the tickets you create in other languages are not really translations of the initial ticket. They are completely independent new tickets.
this means each language ticket has its own stock reduced by the buyer, not just one ticket stock reduced by any language.
Event Tickets Plus vs Recurring Events
… the tickets created are exactly the same for all events.
so in case two different price tickets are needed for the same event in different dates, is there a chance to create a specific ticket for the date with specific price and remove the recursive ticket?
thansk a lot

MemberGood afternoon Marco,
I will gladly answer your follow-up questions.
is this manual intervention just during ticket creation? Not after the buying process by attendee?
Yes, only after ticket creation.
this means each language ticket has its own stock reduced by the buyer, not just one ticket stock reduced by any language.
That is correct. So in essence you have 2 completely independent sets of ticket stocks for now.
so in case two different price tickets are needed for the same event in different dates, is there a chance to create a specific ticket for the date with specific price and remove the recursive ticket?
You could probably achieve that by cheating with CSS.
The procedure is:
- Create all the possible tickets you need
- Hide the unwanted ones from specific recurring events using CSS
It is a bit cumbersome, but it should buy you some time.
Have a good weekend,
