The new WPML version offers this option which dramatically speeds up my website: “Translate themes and plugins using WPML’s String Translation only (don’t load .mo files)”

However, without loading the backup .mo, my months appear in English only. The weekdays in the calendar actually do translate, so I can’t quite isolate the issue.

    Any ideas

Good afternoon Rajiv and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The simplest solution is to head over to the String Translation menu and search for each month’s string (e.g.: september).

Make sure ALL of the month strings (not only the ones coming from the the Events Calendar domain) get translated.

Normally, this should fix the issue.

    Have a good weekend,

    Geoff B.

Hi Geoff, that did it. I wasn’t so thorough the first time around. I changed the WordPress and defaults as well which seems to have done the trick.

    Cheers.
