    Shenandoah University would like to share with Modern Tribe and the community at large some custom development work we contracted for the purpose of having a cross-site events widget that feeds in from the main site (blog 1). We offer no support for this code, nor is this custom code from Modern Tribe, so it’s doubtful they will either. We hope it benefits other organizations, networks, and individual WordPressers.

    Here’s the Gist:

    This file is best used as a /lib/ include referenced in the header of your functions.php file.
    E.g. include_once( CHILD_DIR . ‘/lib/events-widgets.php’ );

    Thank you for sharing this coding!

    I know people will find this useful.

    Thanks

    This is so awesome! Thank you, folks, from all of us here at Modern Tribe – this is the type of community involvement we love to see. Our tests of this code were successful and we do get the sense there are a number of users who would find value in this.

    To draw greater awareness to it, we’ve just published a blog post sharing your code (which has since been posted on our Twitter/Facebook feeds): https://theeventscalendar.com/cross-site-events-widget-for-multisite-users-from-shenandoah-university/. Thanks again for sharing this great solution.
