GuestI’m doing a WP multisite install for a school. Each teacher will have a site, pulling from the WP multisite. These will be hidden, private blogs, between the teachers and their students’ parents. To begin, we’ll have about 25 teachers using the system, growing to 75 in two years. Which version of Events Calendar Pro do I need? Personal, Business, Dev.?

MemberHi James. Thanks for the note here! I should say upfront that we don’t have dedicated multisite integration, to the extent that content from sub-site A, B and C cannot filter back to the main network site or vice versa. But so long as you’re cool with that: a developer license should do the trick for you.
We are working on dedicated multisite licensing, but that hasn’t quite been finalized so it’s not ready. If you go to developer we can upgrade you appropriately once that debuts.
Hope this helps. Let me know if it didn’t, or if you have other questions I can help out with. Thanks again!

ParticipantAny recommendations of other event plugins that are multisite compatible? I know this is asking you to refer to competitors but I thought Events Calendar Pro would work and am disappointed and not sure where to turn. I appreciate any help you can offer.

MemberHey Captiva,
I’m sorry Events Calendar PRO won’t work out for you. I would recommend a different option but I’m honestly not aware of whether any of the other main events calendar plugins have this capability.

GuestI am using another WP plugin called Events Manager which does have a feature that stores all of the events from each subsite as a single database while displaying them on both the main site and subsites. However, the search capabilities are limited, as you cannot search for custom-made attributes (e.g. Ages: Adults, Kids, All-Ages).
Does Events Manager Pro allow you to create custom attributes and filter your search for them?July 9, 2013 at 10:19 am #54042Leah
MemberHi Burke,
Thanks for your note. The Events Calendar does not have a cross-multisite search like what you described, although you might be able to add a third-party plugin to get something similar. You can create custom event attributes with Events Calendar PRO, but you cannot filter by those attributes in either the back end or front end of the site. Does that answer your question?

GuestThanks Leah – yes this answers my question. If someone made a multisite search plugin that could filter for custom fields within custom post types, they could sell it for even a reasonable price and get rich. I wish I had those sorts of programming skills.

GuestHi, really like the way ECP is developing, I’m tempted to use it for a large project but have a question about MU site integration.
You say above that you have no “dedicated multisite integration, to the extent that content from sub-site A, B and C cannot filter back to the main network site or vice versa”, is this likely to change in the near future?
I would ideally like to use MU to ring-fence admins/users when creating events and then display all events from MU sites on the main network site where customers can then search/book. I’d like to use WooCommerce for booking/payment and the only other event plugin out there that does support MU integration doesn’t support WooCommerce.
If you are thinking of adding the feature, would you be interested in being payed to speed up the process?
Kind regards,
DavidJuly 22, 2013 at 4:49 pm #56422Leah
MemberHi David,
Thanks for your interest. We would like to add MU compatibility, but it’s not something we are currently prioritizing so I wouldn’t say it’s likely to change in the near future. If you’d like to encourage us, please vote for it on our UserVoice forum. We aren’t taking on this kind of customizing project right now, but if you’re interested in hiring someone else I can recommend some developers- just send an email to pro /at/ tri.be and I’ll give you some names.
