Would Free / Pro enable me to have more than 1 event template?

Hi,
I understand that I can copy/mod the current event template – but that will apply to all events.
I wanted to know does the plugin allow me to have an addition template that can be assigned to a specific event?

A bit like how you can assign templates to pages in WP.

Secondly, are there any shortcodes available for events? Could I drop in a specific event into a page/post?

Hi khidhaboy,

Ok, easy one first. While its a much requested feature, our plugins do not currently support shortcodes, so that’s not going to work for dropping a specific event in anywhere. If you’d like, you can add your vote over at our Feature Ideas page where shortcodes have already been mentioned a couple of times (https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas?query=short%20codes).

As far as modding an event template, well, it’s WordPress – anything is possible! But that’s not something that our plugin does out of the box. It would require customization of the code to do that. And while I can’t help you with customizations, I can point you to our Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) and Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/) for information that can help you do so.
