    Hi,

I realise reoccurring tickets in woocommerce and Events Calendar Pro are not implemented. I am however short of ideas for a workaround.

I currently have 3200 events published to the end of 2016 using Events Calendar Pro. Even tho these events are free I would like to show the event as booked when the ticket is “purchased” for that particular event.

Do the bright people at Modern Tribe have any workable solutions for this? I really don’t want to create 3000+ individual tickets for all of these events as I will go mad.

Any other solutions? CSV imports? Other ways to get this to work? I would really appreciate the help! Thank you!

    Hi Tomek!

This is unfortunately quite a complicated thing to code, and there not may be any solution here for now. However, there are two bits of good news here:

    1. This exact feature is something we’re working hard to include in a future update of the plugins, it’s a very high priority and part of our release plans – while it won’t make it into the next public release, it may very well be in the one after that. It’s high on our to-do list, as many people have been requesting this functionality!

    2. I might be possible to pull something off here, and I will take a deeper dive into some code and play around with some ideas that I came up with and that some other folks on our support team have suggested, particularly an idea from one of our awesome support crew Josh – he has an idea that seems very promising and I will try to put something together!

Stay tuned to this ticket – I will post as soon as possible if I’m able to figure out some way to do this with code so you don’t have to manually add every single ticket.

Sorry for the disappointment that this is not currently in our codebase, and that it may take some time to make it into your codebase. But we are working on it! 🙂

    Cheers,
    George

This would be fantastic, please keep me informed! I need to launch our site mid-next month, a solution would be so greatly appreciated!

    All the best,

    Hey Tomek,

I hate to disappoint you and to bear bad news, but in some playing around with ideas and looking through code I was not able to come up with something here.

There are a few ideas remaining that I can think of – if your events aren’t happening until into 2016, is it possible to just slowly add tickets to events a little bit each day as the events approach? So that you don’t have to try adding 3200 tickets all at once or anything. This is still a bit of manual work, so I understand if it’s not a helpful idea, but I’m just curious.

The other option I can think of would be hiring someone to build out this functionality for you.

Either way, we do have official support for recurring tickets coming some time in the next several months – if you can make it until then, our official solution will be released and hopefully relieve a lot of this stress for you and other users seeking this functionality.

I’m very sorry for the disappointment Tomek – let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
