This is just a followup to https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/event-calendar-pro-db-error/#post-63107 and https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/event-calendar-pro-db-error/#post-66051 which is where I would have posted this update, but the thread was unfortunately closed.

This information will be important to anyone using NetGEN Gallery and EC / ECP:

In my post at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/event-calendar-pro-db-error/#post-65884 I had helped Tribe pinpoint / confirm NGG as the source of the issues reported in that thread.

BUT that was with NextGEN 2.0.17
RECENTLY Photocrati has release NetGEN version 2.0.27 , which I’m relieved to say makes the problem go away.

So once again, I have NGG and EC Pro running side by side in a client’s site with no problems. (For how long who knows, since Tribe is keeping NGG on the incompatible list, but they ran fine together for a year on my client’s site before the error_log issue started happening when Photocrati released the early NGG 2.x versions).

I’d like to think that NGG has sorted out the issues that were introduced v2, and for now it at least looks hopeful and all of the errors are gone.

I have thoroughly tested ECP 3.0.5 and the new NGG 2.0.27 together tonight and absolutely *no* errors occurring whatsoever.

Sorry to have started a new thread on it, but since the original topic was closed this was the only way for me to try to get this important discovery to others who have been encountering similar to what zahceryh posted at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/event-calendar-pro-db-error/#post-63107

Creating a new thread is absolutely fine and a great way to share the information with others.

We’ll review NextGen’s inclusion on the incompatible plugins list as soon as we get a chance and if all looks well we will certainly consider removing it from that list.

    Thanks!
