GuestHello,
Is your calendar a WP plugin and if not is it compatible with WordPress? How do we install it? Do we need to upload files via FTP?February 8, 2017 at 7:33 am #1231301Geoff
MemberHi Pierre,
Thanks for writing in!
Yes, our plugins are exclusively compatible with WordPress. We built The Events Calendar and the add-ons for it specifically for WordPress and they work together wonderfully. 🙂
You can install The Events Calendar just like any other WordPress plugin through the WordPress Plugins > Add New screen.
If you purchase our premium add-ons for The Events Calendar, then you can upload the zipped files on that same screen, or via FTP, if you would prefer.
Here are step-by-step instructions for downloading and installing our plugins to WordPress:
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

GuestI actually already installed the free version. I am looking for the Filter
Bar option I think. I basically need searchable bar with cities and
locations. I see that you have the filter bar for $89, but also the pro
version for $89, So what does the pro offer that the free version does not
offer?
Do I need to get Pro version before getting the filter bar or does the pro
version include the filter bar?February 13, 2017 at 7:22 am #1233803Geoff
MemberHi Pierre,
Thanks for following up! I hope you had a great weekend. 🙂
Events Calendar PRO adds a bunch of advanced features to The Events Calendar when both are installed. For example, it includes:
- Additional calendar views
- Custom fields for events
- Recurring events
- Additional calendar widgets
- Shortcodes for embedding calendar views and widgets
- Pages for organizers and venues
You can see a full list of features compared to The Events Calendar on the product page.
You do not need to purchase Events Calendar PRO in order to use Filter Bar. In other words, you can use Filter Bar with The Events Calendar, as is.
Did you have any other questions about product features I can help answer? Please let me know.
Cheers!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
