ParticipantHello,
When I enter a ticket on the event, it saves as the value being zero and the stock being zero no matter what I enter or the format. If I click “Edit in WooCommerce” it takes me to a 404 error on the front end of the site.
Looking through various support tickets, I saw that WT has issues with Chrome, so I tried Firefox. No dice.
I am running:
WooTickets 1.0
Events Calendar 2.0.11
Events Calendar Pro 2.0.11Had a lot of issues with the 3.0 upgrade, so had to downgrade both the Events cal softwares. I don’t know if I should be running a different version of WooTickets, but don’t think 3.0 will work given the other software, so there might be an interim version between 1.0 and 3.0 that I should be running. Would need a download link to that.

MemberYou could definitely try WooTickets 1.0.1.
I’m out of time today, but bear with me and I’ll get you a download link tomorrow.

ParticipantOn the front and back end of the event listing itself, it says that the event is free (or on the backend says: £0 Sold 0 of 0, it won’t save any amount – just acts like it’s zero). When you add the ticket to the cart, the cart knows the real price on the cart page (in this case, £7). Also, it created a “Ticket” category, but nothing shows up in it.
There are lots of things wrong here.

MemberHi Christina,
I have shared a download link for WooTickets 1.0.1 (above) if you want to give that a try.
Since you are using The Events Calendar 2.0.11 and its related plugins I don’t think the issues with Chrome reported elsewhere are going to be relevant here, as that is something that only sprung up with the latest release (and is now in hand).
It’s difficult to guess what might be causing your current problem – if it still persists with WooTickets 1.0.1 please try our normal steps of:
* Deactivating all plugins except for those by Modern Tribe
* Switch to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve
* Check if the problem still occurs at that pointAlso, it created a “Ticket” category, but nothing shows up in it.
That is by design.
Ticket products are placed in a ticket category to segregate them from other products. By default however they also have their catalog visibility set to hidden – which means the category isn’t normally empty, it just may appear that way if viewed in the storefront.
I appreciate that may not be desirable if for instance you are using WooCommerce’s category widget – and I believe there is a proposal under consideration to change this behaviour.

ParticipantPlugin download doesn’t work.
Unpacking the package…
The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signatureJuly 10, 2013 at 4:16 pm #54398Barry
MemberIt’s not in zip format, so if you’re trying to upload it directly via the WordPress plugin admin screen you will certainly run in to that. I’ll post a .zip in a moment, or else you could unpack it locally and either zip it yourself or upload it by FTP.

ParticipantDuh. I’m an idiot. Sorry about that!
This fixed my major problems. The other issue is that when the product is added to the cart, it doesn’t register as a “digital” product, so it says there’s an invalid shipping method. Is there a way to automate is so that clients don’t have to make it a two step process of editing the product itself?

ParticipantThe amount of tickets also defaults to 0 instead of 1 above the “Add to Cart” button. Is there a way to make it display 1 by default like the rest of the catalogue does?

ParticipantOne last thing. Is it possible for there to be a link that shows up on the bottom of each event listing on the main events list that says “Click here to purchase tickets” and sends people to the product page, or something to that effect? Tickets are not required for all of this clients’ events, so it would be ideal if the link would only show up if there in fact was a ticket for sale.
Thanks!

In WooTickets 1.0.1 and earlier tickets are simple, shipped products by default. You might be able to use the approach outlined here to workaround this and there may be other approaches described elsewhere in the forum.
Is there a way to make it display 1 by default like the rest of the catalogue does?
Yes, you could override and edit the tickets.php template and change the parameters of woocommerce_quantity_input() – I believe there is an example of this on the forum.

Yes, you can do anything you like with some customization 🙂
The approach outlined here isn’t exactly what you are trying to do but it’s close and can be modified to suit. Again I believe there are various other posts in the forum showing other methods that can also be used to do this sort of thing.
I hope that helps!
