Can you please point me to the documentation that shows exactly how to setup and offer an event using WooCommerce?

I see the Events option in my admin dashboard, but there is NO PLACE within that structure to actually create an event.

Ok, so then I thought I might need to add it as a PRODUCT in WooCommerce, except there is no option there either.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hey Christopher,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

To achieve what you want you basically have to create an event and create a ticket for this event in the same edit page. You will find more info about how to create and manage your tickets in the following links:

    Creating Tickets

You will also find more information about WooCommerce-Specific Ticket Settings in the following article:

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions at all please feel free to let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can!

    Cheers,

    Patricia,

I’ve seen this documentation but what is not clear is this – must I create a “page” to add an event? Or where so I add the actual event?

Ok so I think I figured something out (see screen shots):

    1) I went back and uninstalled both Event Tickets AND Event Tickets Plus. I reinstalled Event Tickets ONLY just to see if perhaps my previous install was bad. When I did that I noticed that I now had an option of PRODUCT for “Post types that can have tickets” (Events > Settings > Tickets) – see the screen shot.

YAY!! This is what I have been looking for all along. However – no fully featured tickets yet.

    2) Thinking the problem is now resolved, I reinstall Events Tickets Plus and guess what?! The PRODUCT option disappears from the Post types list! (See screen shot).

BOO! This was the problem and in my opinion it is a bug. If you install the plugins back-to-back without choosing the PRODUCT option first, you never see it.

    Hi Chris,

Regarding the “Product” option disappearing from the list, that’s deliberate, we have code in Event Tickets Plus to remove this option to avoid confusion and because this brought issues to customers in the past. But if you want to be able to add tickets to your Product page anyway, you can add the following snippet to a custom plugin or your theme’s functions.php file:

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll be happy to assist!

    Best Regards,

    Patricia

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
