I am building a new site on a child theme of Elegant Themes’ Extra theme (one of their two themes that has the Divi Buildier built into the theme. I want to use The Events Calendar, and would likely purchase the Pro version, but am having a major problem with the Find Events button and cannot for the life of me figure out what is going on.
I currently have three WP installations, all on the same server, all running the same versions of WordPress, Extra, and The Events Calendar. On one of them, everything behaves fine. So I know that it is possible to run your plugin in the environment of Extra/the Divi Builder. But on the other two installations, when using the Extra theme or its child theme, the Find Events button simply does not work on the List or Day view, but works fine on the Month view.
I have disabled all other plugins, reset the Theme Customizer settings to default, removed all custom CSS, cleared caches, disabled the minifying of JS and CSS, to no avail. Switching to Twenty Seventeen theme, it works fine, but then going back to Extra, it does not.
Has this issue ever come up before. Is there anything you can do to help me fix it?
Never mind for now, but if this issue ever arises for other users, the problem was that we had a number of scripts in the Extra theme’s header integration options that caused the conflict. Moving all the integrated scripts into a child theme’s header.php file fixed the problem.
