Widget for External URL?

Is there a way to feature a widget for our calendar on another website/URL? We want the widget to show the event name, venue name, date and maybe a description and link to the event on our calendar. We are currently pulling events from our calendar onto another website via an rss feed widget, but need more customization such as including the event date and venue.

Great question!

The short answer is yes – the slightly longer answer is it isn’t something the plugin facilitates directly, so it would really require you to set up some sort of custom built solution at this point.

I have the same need. We have EC PRO for our main church website, but have set up a secondary blog specifically for our youth group. Our youth group would like to display the “youth” category of events from our main church site’s EC PRO in a widget/sidebar of their offshoot blog. Any advice on setting this up would be helpful! Thanks.

Definitely feel free to post this as a feature request – the fact that two of you would like to see it is an indicator that others might, too.

In terms of finding help in the short term there are lots of marketplaces where you can hire freelance developers, including (though we don’t particularly recommend any in particular) WordPress Jobs, People Per Hour and many others besides.
