Widget Calendar Week Days

The widget calendar on our site starts the week out with Monday instead of Sunday? Which looks really goofy with S-S at the end of each row?

I’ve tried a dozen different things to try and get it to display in the proper order?

Each row should start out with Sunday and end with Saturday.

Please help…

Hey Jerry

This is a common WordPress issue that I’ve wanted to see fixed for years! The week starts on setting is a default WP issue, and you can modify that at Settings » General » Week starts on. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/changing-the-first-day-of-the-week/.

More of the globe counts Monday as the first day of the week on a calendar, but hopefully WordPress will eventually base the starting day around things like if you are set to US English vs say a European/Middle Eastern/Asian/African specific language, or even where your website hosting is based. Sadly, this has been a proposed feature for WP core for many years and doesn’t show clear signs of an automated solution.

Let me know if adjusting this resolves the issue.
