ParticipantThe calendar is working very nicely. When placed as a widget on a page using this code:
[php] the_widget(‘TribeEventsCalendarWidget’); [/php]
The calendar does appear but continues to load and the links to the previous and next months do not work. The link showing the small widget calendar is: http://mojaveairport.com/mojave-community-2/ . The full size functioning calendar page link is: http://mojaveairport.com/events/
I did update to The Events Calendar Pro to 3.0.1 and then neither the live Calendar page or the widget on the page appeared. I then reverted back to the previous version which allowed the Calendars to re-appear.
Thank you for looking into this.

ParticipantHi gallopcreative,
We do not support loading the widget in the way you are doing. If you want to load it this way, you’ll need to dig into the code and figure out why it’s not working that way for you. Others have posted similar threads here on the forum so maybe you can find a solution by searching around. I would suggest updating to 3.0 and then we can work towards getting things to work again.
Thanks,

ParticipantHello Jonah,
Thank you for your response. We did upgrade and The Events Calendar PRO plug-in did not work at all causing so we reverted to the previous version.
I just updated the The Events Calendar Pro to 3.0 and now both calendars are down (we don’t have the pages “live” yet) – The Event Calendar page: http://mojaveairport.com/events/ the mini-calendar in Page: http://mojaveairport.com/mojave-community-2/
Prior to purchasing the Pro version we had searched through the forums for a solution to put a mini-calendar on a page not a sidebar and found this post: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/calendar-widget-into-theme/ – we are really hoping we can have the mini-calendar in a page — it would make our client very happy.
Thank you!

ParticipantHi Amy,
I’m not sure why the main calendar is not displaying for you. Please try changing the template option in Events > Settings > Display to see if that helps. If it doesn’t, try deactivating all other plugins to see if there is another plugin conflicting with ours. Try those things first and let me know what happens.
It looks like you can still call the widget anywhere in your theme. It’s just that the widget name has changed so you need to use this instead:
the_widget('TribeEventsMiniCalendarWidget');

ParticipantHello Jonah,
Thank you for your reply. The widget is working 🙂 but the calendar on the actual events page is still not working reliably. Have tried all of your suggestions and the calendar only works when on “skeleton style” and “default events template” which is how I have left it… otherwise it just reads ‘on in’ with a horizontal rule and another ‘on in’ with another horizontal rule. It is not formatting to fit within the page but going full width.
Thank you for your assistance.

ParticipantHi Amy,
Unfortunately not all the template options are going to work out of the box. If using the Default Events Template, you can fully customize this by making a copy of /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/default-template.php and placing in an ‘tribe-events’ folder in your theme. Then, you can add any theme specific divs to wrap things and get things looking a little better. If you need to do page specific markup or PHP, you can use the following PHP conditional statements to further customize things: https://gist.github.com/jo-snips/2415009
I hope that helps but let me know if you have any other questions.

ParticipantJonah,
The WordPress gremlins have decided to move on with their mischief – for fun I changed the style sheet setting to Full Style and it looks great!! I appreciate your assistance and all seems to be well with the calendar – Yay!
