Widget calendar collapses when clicking for next month

I have put the event calendar widget in my sidebar and it looks fine but if I click on the next / previous month arrow, it collapses the widget and disappears. Any idea why?

Hi Tim,

That’s strange. I’m not quite sure what it could be but the first things I would ask to have you try are first deactivating all other plugins to see if that helps. If not, try reverting to the Twenty Eleven/Twelve theme to see if it’s a conflict with your theme. Then we can proceed from there.

Have found the problem, it is a plugin conflict with this: http://www.semiologic.com/software/external-links/
Shame as this External Links plugin is very useful. Clearly, it is detecting the next / previous links as external ones. Any idea how I might resolve this? I need my external links to open in new windows, any idea how I set this globally (marking each one a nofollow / blank is not possible). Thanks

Figured it. Now using a bit of jQuery to spot external links and it does not conflict with Event Cal Pro.
