ParticipantHi there,
before update to vs. 3.0.3 your plugin worked well. After upgrade I face couple of problems:
– I miss translations – I wanted to do this but I have problems as you can see form screenshot http://awesomescreenshot.com/00c1mibk5d > how to fix this? I would like to make translations on my own
-I used widget area for the all “events pages” http://awesomescreenshot.com/0b81mibnb3 now it is used the primary widget and I can not replace it even if I think settings stayed the same
-when I am in calendar view http://www.bedmintonove-potreby.sk/udalosti/ and I click on “list view” I am redirected here http://www.bedmintonove-potreby.sk/udalosti/upcoming/ instead of list of events > this seems to be a bug
I am also adding screenshots from settings page that you see what I set up.

http://awesomescreenshot.com/0b41micef9Could you please help me to solve this problems? I am not a coder and I can not read the code to find the bug and help myself.
Thanks for help in advance.

MemberHi alzbetkai,
Thanks for posting in the forums. I’d be happy to help out.

What language files are you using here? I can look to see if that is a missing string from our plugin or perhaps from WordPress itself. If you’re interested in doing some translating, check out this page to get started.
-I used widget area for the all “events pages” http://awesomescreenshot.com/0b81mibnb3 now it is used the primary widget and I can not replace it even if I think settings stayed the same
It looks like you’re using a third party widget plugin. We changed the widgets in Events 3.0. Instead of the Next Event widget we have the Upcoming Events List with different customization options. I recommend that you re-add the widget, with or without your widget adding plugin. Let me know how that goes and we’ll go from there.
-when I am in calendar view http://www.bedmintonove-potreby.sk/udalosti/ and I click on “list view” I am redirected here http://www.bedmintonove-potreby.sk/udalosti/upcoming/ instead of list of events > this seems to be a bug
Actually, the page at http://www.bedmintonove-potreby.sk/udalosti/upcoming/ looks a lot like the List View, and it is directing properly. I believe the issue is that either your theme or your styles are stripping out the Events header in that view. I especially think that since although that page looks like List View, it’s pretty different from the default List View. If you’ve customized your styles some way that’s a good place to start.
Otherwise you might try experimenting with different settings on the Display tab under Events –> Settings. Switching templates or stylesheets might bring back the header. Otherwise, we can do our best to look into this further and see if we can get the header showing for you.Best,

ParticipantHi,
I am using sk_SK language files. Slovak language is not listed in the available languages. I am using Codestyling Localization plugin for translations, but even if I try to translate you plugin it does not work http://awesomescreenshot.com/0cb1nfyba8
We have Slovak language also defined in WP-config file => define(‘WPLANG’,’sk_SK’)
When I check /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/lang in FTP there is tribe-events-calendar-sk_SK.po and also .mo file => but not working
——
For the widgets I am using WooSidebars vs. Verzia 1.3.1 which replaces widget areas in your theme for specific pages, archives and other sections of WordPress. That means that even if I try to have a specialized widget (not calendar one – for example special ad space or menu) on each event, venue or organizer page it does not show up http://awesomescreenshot.com/0d51ng1666In case there does not exist fix for this, I will remove the widget area and display the calendar/event/venue etc. in full width.

Regarding the template, we try to experiment, but I still do not understand, because there are blog posts in list view => we only want to display events in list view, not blog posts. When you click on the blog post title you will be redirected to post itself.August 27, 2013 at 11:12 am #63077Leah
MemberHi alzbetkai,
I’m curious how you got the sk_SK translation for our plugin since it’s not one of our available languages. It may be that the file is old and incomplete, especially since the release of Events 3.0 really changed the .pot file. We’d love to have you create an updated version. Check out this page for more info.
I’m not familiar with the WooSidebars widget, but this is something that we might be able to look into further. Would you mind starting another thread for just that issue? That will help us stay organized and get you the help you need. It would also be helpful if you could share the plugin you’re using- is that possible? You can email a .zip to pro (at) tri.be.
I think I misunderstood the issue originally so thank you for clarifying. I believe you’re running into the same problem as the folk in this thread. If you scroll down to the bottom you’ll see that one of our developers provided a snippet to rectify the issue. Please try adding that to your functions.php file and see if that corrects the problem.
Best,

ParticipantHi Leah,
as I said before I am using Codestyling Localization plugin http://www.code-styling.de/english/development/wordpress-plugin-codestyling-localization-en => I added new language, rescaned original .po file and tried to translate couple of words and sentences. But it is not working because your PHP code is not written proper => please see this http://awesomescreenshot.com/0381nlko09But I downloaded the Poedit and I will follow-up the tutorial you send me.

I emailed you with the plugin and here is the discussion https://tri.be/support/forums/topic/woosidbars-another-sidebarwidgets-for-calendar-pages/#DiscussionForm—

MemberExcellent! Thanks for the follow up here. So if I understand properly here:
* You’ll follow-up on the translation with POEdit;
* You started a separate discussion on the sidebar widget;
* And the last issue is fixed.Does that mean we’re just about set here? Do you need anything else in this ticket at the moment? Let us know if so!
