    I purchased Events Calendar PRO specifically because it had three ways to view the events: by Category, by Venue, by Organiser.

    Whilst the ‘by category’ and ‘by venue’ work as expected, the ‘by organiser’ does not.

    i.e. when selecting a category or venue you get a list/calendar of events in that category or at that venue – Perfect! I expected the same with ‘Organiser’ but there is only the option for a hyperlink. I can now see that this is intended to link to an external website but this is not what I want and nor was it made clear in the blurb.

    As a workaround, I created a ‘by-organiser’ event category and sub-categories, using the organiser hyperlink field to point to these event sub-categories, which worked as far as creating the third custom menu in the sidebar (by category / by venue / by organiser) except that the ‘by category and subcategory’ also appear in the event details, along with the actual category, and there does not seem to be a way to exclude this.

    I then tried using the default WordPress categories with the organiser hyperlink field linking to the appropriate WP category, but the events don’t link in with the WP categories so that failed.

    The custom fields don’t have a hyperlink field type and I’d still be left with the problem of how to generate a list of events for each Organiser, to get it to work the same as the categories and venues do.

    Any suggestions?
    Or can I request a refund?

    Hi univiz,

    Unfortunately with the 2.x version there is no organizer page like you are wanting. In 3.0 which is coming out very soon there is this functionality where you can see all events by a particular organizer on a page. In 2.x it would take some sort of custom query setup to pull events by organizer. It wouldn’t be too hard to setup but I would recommend just waiting for 3.0.

    Hello Jonah – No, after reviewing your post above, we removed your plugin and sourced another one that did exactly what we needed. This new plugin has been in situ and working successfully. Are you saying that we will not now get the refund you suggested we apply for?

    Hello Jonah

    The other plugin is working great – thank you! It’s been up and running and working perfectly since 29th June and has actually gone one better than we initially needed. We can now view events: By Event Activity, By Vehicle Type, By Event Organiser and By Venue (and no doubt we could find a few more to do). Although we don’t need it at the moment, we could accept bookings, manage attendees and take payments etc.

    How do we chase up the refund request? We’ve not had any acknowledgement or any response whatsoever. I’ve checked that we sent it to the correct address that you stated in your post above.
