Why does my key have an expiry date?

Hi I thought by purchasing a license I would be able to use the pro version indefinitely, but for done reason I am told that the key is valid but expires on 2014-07-02. Do I have to pay again each year?

Hi jadecreative – licenses are valid for one calendar year from purchase as described on the product page (“Get updates & support for a year…”).

Do note however that while having a valid key provides access to support and updates your calendar certainly won’t cease to function if you decide not to renew.

Thanks but for some reason I can no longer add events to my calendar. Would that have anything to do with the license key?

No, it wouldn’t – the presence or absence of the license key should have no affect on this whatsoever.

The first thing to do here is check that all of your Modern Tribe plugins are up to date (if you are having difficulties with your license key consider uploading new copies manually – you can grab our premium plugin downloads over here) – and also ensure you are running at least WordPress 3.5. If that doesn’t help please deactivate all non-Modern Tribe plugins and switch to a default, unmodified theme and see if that resolves this.
