Mohamed
ParticipantHi,
I m trying to create a new template for select.php from the events tickets plus plugin into my child theme and I can’t seem to figure out where to do it. I checked out the themer guide for it, but no folder name is mentioned about the tickets-plus templates.
Should it be under my-theme/tribe-events/tickets/meta/? This path didn’t work for me.
thanks for your help,October 17, 2016 at 2:33 pm #1177956Hunter
ModeratorHey Mohamed,
Welcome! Try the following structure and let me know how it works for you: [your-theme]/tribe-events/tickets/meta/select.php. I just tested a template override using that structure and changes reflected as desired. Keep me posted and have a great afternoon. Cheers!

ParticipantUnless you can notice something that I m doing wrong in this screenshot , the version within the plugin folder is taking precedence.
Here is a screenshot illustrating the override behavior.
Please note that I upgraded all the plugins to the latest versions (4.3).October 18, 2016 at 1:46 pm #1178634Hunter
ModeratorMohamed,
I apologize if I led you down the wrong path… I’m too experiencing the plugin template taking precedent over the override inside my tribe-events folder. I must’ve confused myself during testing, so again, my apologies! I’ve gone ahead and logged a bug documenting the issue and we’ll get a fix for it in an upcoming maintenance release.
For the time being, go ahead and “hack” the core plugin file and be sure to keep an eye on our Release Notes for maintenance release info. Be sure to make a backup of the select.php file prior to updating when a new version comes out to avoid losing customizations.
Thank you again for your patience while we investigated the issue and identified the bug. Please let me know if you have any additional questions and have a good evening. Cheers!

If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
