    I’ve searched the forums and just see a bunch of complaints about this plugin not working with the Genesis Framework.

    I’d like to think these two can play nicely together, as I use Genesis with 90% of my clients and ECP is my first recommendation for calendars.

    Alternatives? Quick fixes? A plugin?

    Hi,

    Thanks for using out plugins. I can help out here.

    There is not a direct conflict with Genesis it is more because of Genesis’s hooks sometimes issues come up as that is completely different from WordPress’s standard themes.

    However, I use Genesis for almost all my sites and do my testing of the Events Calendar in Genesis so I have a bunch of snippets to help out and make them place nice together.

    Hi! I use the Genesis Themes and I’m only moderately tech savvy… where do I put these? Do I put them in the event calendar php? Thanks in advance.

    Interesting re: Genesis,

    We use Genesis and have not run into issues, can you elaborate on what sort of problems?

    Hi Carolyn,

    You put those snippets in your child theme’s function.php.

    And tablelandsregionalcouncil there is not direct conflicts I have seen, it is more setting differences.

    The biggest issue is getting sidebars to show on certain pages and if in Genesis you have the Archive content setting set to show on excerpts or a content limit the main event views do not show as they are an archive page. Two of the above snippets address those issues.

    If you and anyone else runs into an issue please post in the forum I am try to collect all the issues and snippets to write an updated guide.
