ParticipantHi:
I guess for the user of high tickets, must register as a user of blog previously. But that profile should have no access to other management functions? With that profile you could then read the QR codes to control entry to the event?
Thank you!

MemberHey again Antonio,
These are great questions.

This will mostly depend on your setting in Events -> Settings -> Community for Allow anonymous submissions.
A basic subscriber role will do the trick 🙂
But that profile should have no access to other management functions?
The short answer to that is “it depends what you want the profile to be able to do”.
I recommend reading the following articles on roles and permissions and on how to use a plugin such as Members to control that:
https://theeventscalendar.com/?s=roles+and+permissions&submit=Search&post_type%5B%5D=documentation&post_type%5B%5D=tribe-knowledgebaseWith that profile you could then read the QR codes to control entry to the event?
You will need to establish a role/profile that’s able to view and edit the attendee list of each event.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

This does not work for tickets.
Check it out, I activated the module and can not add tickets https://rondainfinita.info/eventos/comunidad/agregar/
I’ll try what profiles …
Thank you!

MemberHey Antonio,
That is such a good catch. Thank you for that.
It makes sense if you read the bottom part of the Events -> Settings -> Community screen (Community tickets).
For this to work, you would need to provide visitors with “Edit_event_tickets” capabilities, which would not be the best of ideas.Check this box if you wish all Subscribers to receive the ability to create tickets. Uncheck it if you will be altering the edit_event_tickets capability either via a plugin or custom filter.
Let me know how your experiments with roles and capabilities go.
Best regards,

ParticipantHey Geoff:
I tested both by checking the box, and the box unmarked and does not work the high ticket anonymous submissions.
Thank you.

MemberHey Antonio,
Perhaps I misled you unintentionally in my previous answer – my apologies if that is the case.
What I meant to say is that, in theory, in order for visitors (not logged-in users) to be able to add tickets, you would need to:
- Provide website visitors with a user role
- Add edit_event_tickets to capability to that role (just as the checkbox suggests for Subscribers – the checkbox itself will not work for that)
I also said that, for several reasons, I would not recommend that (even for events without tickets). This opens the door to bot spamming, double-entries, inability to edit your entries, etc…
So in short, you will be far better off by requiring users to have an “account”. Most of our users combine this with the Theme my login plugin to have more control over the whole process: https://wordpress.org/plugins/theme-my-login/
Let me know if you need anything else from me on this topic ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood afternoon Antonio,
No worries, your English is great.
In this specific case, I think I went a bit too fast in my explanation.
Thank you for keeping me honest 🙂Let me know if you need anything else on this topic.
