    Hello,

We have a dual-language site (English/Greek). The Events Calendar works fine when running in either language (when switching language from the WP-Menu with WPML-Translator plugin installed).

Is it possible to use a shortcode for each laguage-page to be able to display in both languages, each its translated event?

    Using: WPML translator.

    Thank you,
    Andreas M.

Good evening Andreas and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

I highly recommend reading and using the following guides:

    1. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/
    2. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-translations-for-events-using-wpml/

That should enable you to use the Events Calendar with WPML.
However, if you are interested in shortcodes, you will need to grab a copy of the Events Calendar Pro: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/

This will let you use the following types of shortcodes:

    1. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/
    2. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Geoff B.

    Hi,

Thanks for the valuable links, I will go through them.

Just need to confirm, if I use the Pro with [shortcode] and WPML, I would just place one shortcode on an English page to show the English version of events and place another one on a Greek page to show the translated Greek versions of events (dual-lang English-Greek). Correct?

    Thnak you,
    Andreas M.

    Good evening Andreas,

    Thank you for writing back.

That is correct. However, just as a reminder, you can also use the built-in URLs if you prefer, removing the need for shortcodes altogether.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.
