OP
GuestHello,
If I buy the pro version and enbed the shortcodes (that from my understanding are only for the pro version). What will happen to all the Shortcode I put in the site. Will they will stop funcioning?
Thanks!April 30, 2018 at 12:25 pm #1519474Courtney
MemberHi there Ofer
Like all of our other plugins (except Event Aggregator), the plugin will continue to function as it had based upon the last update that you received. The annual renewal cost covers product features, security, and bug fix updates. You also receive access to our help desk for further assistance.
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Thanks

GuestHi Courtney,
Thank you for your quick reply!
I have some other questions before I purchase the pro version:
1. what would be the difference between the pro version shortcode and the plugin named “The event calendar shortcode”
2. My second question is related to a different ticket I opened: the site I’m re-building used a previous version of this plugin below is the answer you gave me. Continuing this question, if I don’t have any event, do I need to do the test, or just go with byuing the pro version and doing the downgrad then importation, then upgrade? If so, could you instruct me on how doing so?
Thanks

MemberHi Ofer
The event calendar shortcode is a 3rd party plugin that we do not support or maintain. It does create its own shortcodes, but does not support recurring events or different view types that come with Events Calendar Pro.
I would still advise testing versions and upgrade paths on a staging server (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-using-wordpress-staging-site/) or at least a local site if possible. More recent versions of our plugins will be safe to upgrade live most likely, but versions that are a year or more old would be worth testing thoroughly.
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Thanks
