    Hi there —

We’ve recently moved our build over to our public server and we’re having issues with licensing. We followed the tutorial: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-your-license-keys/ which instructed us to remove the keys from the original WordPress system, then to disconnect the keys through Modern Tribe’s website, and then finally add the keys to our new instance of WordPress. We’ve done all this but every time we save the keys into our new website, the old website domain will still show up as the licensed website to use the calendar plugins we’ve purchased.

Is there anything we can do? Right now the only issue is that the Eventbrite plugin license key is not registering in our system, thus making it unusable.

    Thanks so much.

Good evening Sabrina and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the struggles you have been going through with licences.
I would love to help you with this topic.

You might also want to read this article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-live-dev-sites/

I am guessing that you will need to remove the license keys from your dev website directly Events -> Settings -> Licenses and not only on theeventscalendar.com

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Hi Geoff,

Unfortunately the development environment was connected to the internet and was at one point publicly accessible on the internet.

We removed the license keys from the original site prior to submitting the thread. At this time there are no license keys noted on the development environment. Since we have full control over the server, we even suspended the use of the development environment to see if taking that version of the website offline altogether and it still didn’t work.

We disconnected the site, logged into the live environment with the different domain, implemented the license keys, saved the settings and returned to the The Events Calendar website’s license key page and it will still list the old domain.

Note these files have been migrated from one cPanel account to a new cPanel account. It’s a multisite network, but we’re only using these plugins on one website in the network.

    Thanks so much.
