Weird css

I’ve got a strange formatting issue. On my pages with calendar content, everything looks great:
http://seeds.sps.springfield.ma.us/wp/events/2013-03/
But on the months where there are no events yet, my top menu doesn’t display correctly.
http://seeds.sps.springfield.ma.us/wp/events/2013-08
I’m not sure what the events themselves are doing to affect this formatting, and I’ve been banging my head against the wall trying to track down the issue.
