ParticipantThe calendar on both the events page and home page are not updating from Google calendar via the aggregator. We are looking to delete and move events around but these are not changing on the website.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Participant* Update *
So i’ve been digging around and i manage to solve the issue of calling a certain calendar from my Google Calendar account. But there lies another issue: edits that I make, whether I move the event of delete it, do not reflect on the Events Calendar. Also, not all the events that are within the Google calendar are shown on the Events Calendar.
Secondly: The Events Calendar doesn’t go further than 23 months in advance
Thirdly: How do I get a photo to show with the event on the Events Calendar by adding it through Google calendar?
Thanks!

MemberHi Amy!
Thanks for getting in touch with us! Let me help you with those issues.
It’s good to know you could solve the first of your issues. Now regarding the changes not reflecting in your site after importing, you might need to adjust the Event Update Authority settings by going to Events > Settings > Imports tab.
Let me point you to the following article about all the Event Aggregator Import Settings available > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/event-aggregator-import-settings/
not all the events that are within the Google calendar are shown on the Events Calendar.
This could be due to the Import Limit Type and the Import Date Range Limit settings that will dictate how far into the future the events will be fetched.

There is no limit in how far in the future you can navigate the month view. Could you please share a link to where you are experiencing this?

Unfortunately, Event Aggregator does not support importing images and attachments from Google Calendar at this time. I wish I could say it does, but that is not the case.
If you still experience problems importing from Google Calendar, please share the iCal feed with us so we can run some tests with it.
Let me know how that goes and if you have other questions.

MemberHi Amy,
Thanks for testing that out.
The URL you provided does not seem to match an iCal feed. Could you please send us the ICAL address by entering the Google calendar settings? You can obtain the ical feed by clicking the green ICAL button.
Could you please confirm you are also using that same ICAL URL for your imports?
Thanks,

MemberHi Amy!
Thanks for following up with this.
Unfortunately, we are not able to fetch your system information. Could you please copy and paste it in a private reply?
I am able to fetch the Big Canvas events for March and other future events. Please try going to Events > Settings > Imports tab and set the option for Import Limit Type to Do not limit and Save. Try importing again after that and see if you can get the Big Canvas event.
calendar on the front end only goes until March, can I extend this?
By default, the month view on the frontend will only show pagination links if there are events to show. You can change this behaviour by using the snippet provided in this article > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/add-nextprevious-links/
Let me know how that goes.
Thanks,
