Here is the issue. We didn’t build the site and the person who did, was not keeping the 3 events plugins updated. They are outdated. However, when they are updated…things break.

The current installed versions of the 3 plugins: (you can see just how outdated they are)
    The Events Calendar – 3.9.1
The Events Calendar Pro – 3.9.1
The Events Calendar: WooCommerce Tickets – 3.9.2 (this one has a whole new name now)

The problems happen when we update the plugins to:
    The Events Calendar – 4.5.8
The Events Calendar Pro – 4.4.14
    Event Tickets – 4.5.2
    Event Tickets Plus – 4.5.2

The “calendar” loses the photo: Here is what it looks like when the plugins are not updated: https://unwinedpainting.com/events/

And here is what it looks like once the plugins are all updated: http://wordpress-103731-299057.cloudwaysapps.com/events/

The second issue…once the plugins are updated, the entire box to actually purchase a class disappears and you have no ability to sign up for a class…

Here is what the individual class pages look like when the plugins are not updated: https://unwinedpainting.com/event/paint-our-eclectic-elephant/ (notice the details and tickets in the right column)

And here is what it looks like once the plugins are all updated: http://wordpress-103731-299057.cloudwaysapps.com/event/paint-our-eclectic-elephant/ (notice the right column is empty).

What can I do to fix this?

    Hey Elizabeth,

    Thanks for contacting us!

To solve the first issue you are experiencing after the plugin update, you can follow the steps mentioned in this article:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/adding-featured-images-to-month-view/

Regarding the second problem, it seems that you have a custom code in place to change the position of the event details and tickets box that is not compatible with the latest version of our plugin.

I would suggest you to look for (and temporarily comment or remove) any custom code in your theme’s functions.php file. Also, if you find any tribe custom files in your theme’s directory, please temporarily remove them and check if the event details and tickets display properly in the bottom of your page after that.

I hope this helps you get started!

Let me know if you need anything else and I’ll be happy to assist! 🙂

    Regards,

    Patricia

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
