I tested the Sticky on Month View on my site and it worked for me on a Single Event.

Is this a single event having the issue? Or a Recurring Event?

How about if I want to showcase the event, in any view mode?

Yep the Sticky For Month View only works in Month View.

We do not have a way to feature an event in a showcase or similar in any other view.

If you would like to request that feature please head to our UserVoice Page and add your own or upvote that feature as they will increase the chances of it being added to a future version.
