GuestThe site page is
http://damanhurcolorado.com/events/2016-11/?tribe_events_cat=all-events&tribe-bar-date=2016-11You can see that when you click an event the popup has oversized type, the full type and pick do not show. I do not see anywhere in the settings to set or fix anything.
Also at the top is says Archive? I have changed the settings a couple times and nothing on the backend works.
My client doesn’t want to pay $89 and still not have it work … Can you tell me what is going on and why there are so few design controls on the plugin.
Thanks so much, Janet

ParticipantHi Janet,
When I go to the link you provide, I am met with a “New Site Coming Soon” page.
We cannot log into customer sites, so can you please temporarily disable this “New Site Coming Soon” page? Let us know when you’ve done that and I will take another look at things.
Cheers,

GuestI am so sorry, I thought the coming soon had been disconnect. It is now ready for you to look at:
http://damanhurcolorado.com/events/category/all-events/
I have the page set up in a list for the client at present, so you will need to ‘View As” month and go to November to see the problem. All of the events in November that are on the first two lines (top two weeks weeks) in monthly view are cut off at the top when they pop up. It is like they are being hidden under the header row on the calendar. The lower ones (last two weeks on the monthly view) are showing up fineThank you so much for taking at look at this as the client does want to launch the site next week and will be buying your calendar if we can get it to work. We are using Jupiter Multipurpose Theme from Theme Forest.
Also, I have several other clients that need this kind of calendar, one I will start building the end of this month. It would be great to have a wonderful event calendar that will work with Jupiter, so I do need to see this on item fixed. Everything else about this plugin is terrific!
Thank you so much, Janet

ParticipantHey Janet,
Thanks for sharing this information and elaborating on the issues.
So, to be absolutely clear, it seems like these are the following issues:
1. The font size in the month view tooltips is too large, as shown in this screenshot → https://cldup.com/Nuh2hOILiD.png
2. Tooltips for events in the first two weeks of the month view are cut off, as shown in this screenshot → https://cldup.com/AqAY4R8exv.png
☝️ Are there any other issues here? Please specify them and share screenshots if so. (You can do so by uploading the screenshots to this thread. If you have issues with that, you can upload to Imgur.com, Flickr.com, CloudUp.com, or any similar image-hosting site; then just share the links to those images here and I’ll take a look.)
The reason I’m asking for clarification is because the 2 issues I described above are unfortunately ones stemming directly from your theme. I say, “unfortunately”, because these issue can therefore only be resolved with some custom CSS code. We cannot help with writing custom code, even for folks who hold premium licenses, as described in our support policy here (please read).
However, I’m happy to at least try and write some basic CSS to help you move forward with the main issues here.
So, let me know if the two issues I described above are the only ones persisting. You mentioned something with the words “Archive” for example, but I do not see “Archive” anywhere on the links you provided.
We can proceed from there and I will try to write some custom CSS for you! 🙂

GuestHi George, The Archive is fixed … that is not a problem. The text size is controlled at this moment by the Paragraph setting in the typography of the theme … but even when I change this to 10 or 12 (which sadly affects everything in the site) I still have these top tooltips that are covered partially by the header of the Monthly Calendar …
Just above the gray bar, where the Month appears disappears. The tooltip popup is hidden in this area regardless of the type size. I would so appreciate any CSS that you might suggest that will fix this.
This is the only issue I have with the calendar, again … the rest is great!
Thank you so much, Jan

ParticipantThanks for clarifying things here, Janet.
Does anything improve if you add CSS like the following to the bottom of your theme’s style.css file?
body.post-type-archive-tribe_events .mk-header {
z-index: 1 !important;
}.tribe-events-calendar {
overflow: visible !important;
}
Let me know! 😀

GuestThank you so much !!!! That was the problem and it is solved. I will tell the client when I see them later this week.
One question about the Ticket plugin. When you up date it to $89. So that you can use the Paypal Feature, do you have to pay again each year to keep it running on Paypal? Client is trying to choose between your ticket system or to use Woo Commerce as they grow.
This is the best calendar out there by the way.

ParticipantHey Janet,
Glad that helped! If you use this same theme on other sites, you may need to apply the same CSS on those sites.
As for the licensing, to be clear the PayPal payment features are provided by WooCommerce, not our ticketing plugins.
A license provides you access to support and updates for 1 year; renewing is OPTIONAL, not automatic, so you have to manually choose to renew and then do the renewals here on theeventscalendar.com
If you choose not to renew, then no plugin functionality is affected. Things will still keep working…for a time. But you lose access to support and updates. So, if things break and we fix it in a plugin update, you won’t be able to update until you renew and have an active license.
I hope this helps!
