I have read numerous of the other posts related to conflicts between W3TC and this plugin. In my case, see http://freeindeedchurch.org/events/.

You will see the events on the calendar are replaced with a dot that does nothing when clicked, and the hover preview for events is also not working.

Disabled W3TC solves the issue. However, I really would prefer to keep the caching plugin activated. I have disabled the Minify option altogether in W3TC, as well as added an exception to never minify http://freeindeedchurch.org/events/ (which is where my Events calendar is).

Since this appears to be a common issue, I am hoping you have a quick answer for me other than to just not use W3TC.

    Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Rob

    Hey Rob,

I checked out your events page and noticed a JavaScript error coming from this script on your site:

    http://freeindeedchurch.org/wp-content/cache/minify/000000/M9bPKixNLarUMYYydHMz04sSS1L1cjPzAA.js

As the URL there implies, that’s indeed a minified script…

Can you confirm that you have minification totally disabled for all JavaScripts and all CSS? If not, please ensure that minification is disabled and then clear your caches.

This script seems to be a core WordPress script and is thus quite crucial for the page to function; and just to note this, many people use W3TC and The Events Calendar together fine as long as minification is disabled. There are some problems with W3TC and The Events Calendar’s AJAX functionality, but this is not something we can work around due to the way that AJAX and Caching both literally work at a browser level.

Let me know about the minification and cache-clearing efforts here, and if they make any difference!

    Thanks,
    George

Ah. You are right. One of the toggles was still checked on deeper level of the plugin settings that was minifying css and js. I untoggled them both and seemed to work. So I am now still running W3TC, but without minifying css and js, and the calendar is working normally.

Awesome – glad to hear it, @robphat!

I know it’s not ideal to have to leave everything un-minified, but it’s unfortunately the best option with the way W3TC works 🙁

I’ll close up this thread for now, but don’t hesitate to come back and open a new forum thread at any time if any other questions arise.

    Cheers,
    George
