    The core version of TEC 4 posted to wordpress.org contains a file named codeception.dist.yml in the root. You may want to double-check the entire build for any other residual.

    Thanks for bringing this up.

    We have removed it from the svn repo on WordPress.org so all downloads and updates from now on will not include it.

    I noticed the same thing with the Pro version of v4.0.

    Yep it was in all the paid plugins, but eventbrite.

    It wont hurt anything, but we are removing them for future downloads.
