We’ve run into a conflict with version 3.2 of The Events Calendar and the Genesis Featured Widget Amplified plugin. We have several custom post types on this site. On the home page under the “Current Headlines” heading we have a Genesis Feature Widget Amplified which pulls from “Any” post type that has a specific tag.
With version 3.1 of the Events Calendar it works as expected. However when we upgraded to version 3.2 (with both the base plugin and the PRO plugin) that widget stops showing any posts. We can select each of the individual post types and it works fine. We can disable The Events Calendar and it will pull from all the rest of the post types just fine too. If we add that tag to an event then that event is the only post shown. It seems somehow the tribe_events are the only post types that get included with the combination “any” post type and a tag are selected.
When we rolled back to version 3.1 of The Events Calendar and it still works.
We have several other instances of the widget on the page that all use a category instead of a tag. Those instances all seem to be working as expected.
We tried this previous fix but it did not resolve our issue: https://theeventscalendar.com/fix-for-static-front-page-being-overridden-when-including-events-in-main-blog-loop/
It appears something in version 3.2 has introduced a new conflict with the Genesis Featured Widget Amplified plugin. Any chance y’all can supply a fix for this?
