ParticipantHello.
I am currently working locally on a site using the plugin TEC.
I actually want to display the upcoming events sorted out by venue (on a page), I first tried with the adequate widget.
I see a message “there are no upcoming event”, though I am certain
-to have created an event
-to have indicated the event venue
-to have chosen the right venue in the back-office widget panel.
Then I edited the venue-widget.php (which I copied in the overriding directory) and I only manage to display the concerned events via some new WP query (no use to paste the code here).Just before, I had also experienced some bad surprise with the list-widget.php file.
The dates and prices were not displayed though I had asked for it in the back-office widget panel.
Same thing, I had to edit the php file to call fot it myself whithout the if condition.

In both cases I cannot understand where the $cost $venue (in the list) and $event and $events (in the venue widget) are registered and how come they are empty.
I tried and echo them but nothing was returned.
Does it ring a bell?August 19, 2013 at 1:56 pm #61269Rob
MemberHi frantgotier. Thanks for the note here. You’ve indeed stumbled into a couple of bugs here that we’ve got logged in our system and are working to address for the impending maintenance release: namely, that the featured venue widget isn’t showing events when it should. This is a high priority for us and we’re working hard to patch it as quickly as possible.
As for the list widget: that’s a problem I actually haven’t seen reported yet, and looks – unlike the first item you reported – to not be in our system yet. But I was just able to recreate it locally so it looks like this is indeed a legit bug in the current codebase. I’m going to do my best to get this one included in the forthcoming maintenance build as well, now that it’s on the radar.
Thanks for your patience and apologies for the inconvenience as we work to get this sorted. Please let us know if we can do anything else.
