ParticipantI think there’s a bug in the front-end venue edit form venue[URL] field. Steps to reproduce:
1: Add a community event using the front-end form.
2: Add a new venue while creating the new event, be sure to include a URL in the website field.
3: Save the event, go to the My Events list and click the new venue to go to the edit venue form. (Website field is blank, although you just populated the field on the add event form.)
4: Go back to the event edit form. (Venue website field is blank here as well.)
5: Now view the newly created event. (Venue website field displays the entered URL.)
6: Go back to the edit event or edit venue form and submit without making any changes.
7: View the event again. (Venue website field is now empty, overwritten by the blank input on the edit form.)November 29, 2014 at 3:02 pm #902281Brian
MemberHi,
Thanks for the information. I was able to reproduce this bug. You are correct it is saving in the database, but it is not showing on the front editor so the value is being overwritten.
I have created a bug ticket to address this. We do have a release coming out in a couple weeks and I might be able to get this into it. I will not know until Monday. If not I maybe to get some coding together to fix this in the mean time.
Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thanks

MemberOk I created a bug ticket for this and the other issue and included both these tickets with that bug ticket. So when we have news we will update you through the threads here.
Since there is nothing more I can do here, I am going to go ahead and close this ticket, but if you need help on this or something else please post a new ticket.
Thanks

MemberHi there,
I wanted to post here and update you. Although we weren’t able to get a fix for the issue your reported into our upcoming 3.9 release, it is still on our list to get corrected. Thank you for reporting the problem, and for your patience and support while we get a solid fix in place. We’ll update you when a solution is ready to go.

MemberHi there,
Thank you for your support and patience while we worked on this issue. We are happy announce that we have incorporated a fix into our upcoming 3.10 release. Keep an eye out for a release announcement on our site and for updates available on your WordPress dashboard.
While we have thoroughly tested this release and are confident of its quality, it is impossible to account for every edge case in the wide world of WordPress. If you run into trouble with the new version or you don’t see your reported issue corrected, please start a new thread and we will be happy to work with you.
Thanks again for your patience here. We’re excited to get this version out the door and into your hands!
Best,
