Used to work in all previous versions of Pro, but now single venue’s are not showing the password protection form field.

When deactivating all plugins and activating 2014 or 2015 it’ll show that the venue is protected by changing the title to: Protected:”Title” but no form will show. On the theme that I’ve been using for the past 3-4 years we’ve always had a custom single-venue.php page that had no issues with password protection. After upgrading from 3.8.something to 3.9.X is when I feel this issue arose.

    Hi Danny,

When I test things out for myself the password protection form displays as expected (using just our plugins and a default theme on the latest version of WordPress).

I’m not sure why you’d be experiencing something other than this but I wonder if you could show me an example of a password protected venue without a custom single-venue.php template in place?

    So here’s what I found:

Our single-venue.php custom file did not have the_content() or a while loop in it. For some reason, this was fine up until 3.9.XX. I looked at the new single_venue.php that came with the updated pro plugin version and backtracked through the code to find where the issue was occurring from.

Glad you figured things out here 🙂

Since you’ve marked this as resolved I’ll go ahead and close this topic – but of course please don’t hesitate to create new topics if you need help with anything else.

    Thanks again!
