Venue Pages

Am I right in thinking that venue pages are only set up by default in EC Pro? I’m trying to set up venue pages and I’m hitting a bit of a wall. I’ve added in the redirect, and create several page templates (single-venue, singe-tribe-venue, single-tribe_venue) with no success. Also tried adding in capability of “page” in the post registry section…

Hi -yes, that’s correct – single venue pages require Events Calendar PRO to operate (or else you’d need to build this out as a customization if you wanted the same feature without using PRO, but I’m afraid that’s a bit beyond what we can help you with here on the support forum) 🙂

Hacked it in myself, just edited the $newRules array in the-events-calendar.class.php to include a redirect for tribe_events.

Mostly for the benefit of other users coming across this thread, please remember it’s generally recommended that you do not modify core plugin code: any changes will be overwritten on the next update (so you’ll need to manually restore them) – and, on occasion, we have seen situations where users forgot about such modifications resulting in strange side effects that were hard to track down.

So long as you’re fully aware of this and it works for you though that’s the main thing – thanks for posting the update and I hope everything else goes smoothly for you.
