Venue name not included in .ics export

The church I am working with uses their calendars to book spaces in their church. Each week the Parish Administrator prints out an aggregate of 7 google calendars to double check with her staff. I have set up an Events Pro calendar using the venue name to specify a given room. When we export the file to .ics and print the list from the Mac calendar application, everything is there EXCEPT the venue name, which would have the room at the church associated with it (e.g, Parish Hall — St. Andrew’s Church; or Harvey Room — St. Andrew’s Church).

Questions:

1. Is there a way to export the venue name field into the .ics file?
2. Can I use custom fields so that they will export to an .ics file?

Hi Jonathan.

You can see the LOCATION part of the iCal export comes from https://github.com/moderntribe/the-events-calendar/blob/4.2.7/src/Tribe/iCal.php#L279-L303

As you noticed, the title of the Venue is not included.

You might want to look into the different “apply_filters” in that file to see if you could use one of them to include the Venue’s title or any custom field values you’re wanting to include.
