Venue Comments not appearing

    Hey there,

    I implemented the two snippets from https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/venue-comments-disabled/ and now I have the comments and discussion tabs in the edit venue area.

    I have checked off “Allow comments” and “Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page.”

    For some reason the comments area is not appearing. I am using a genesis theme if that makes any difference.

    The comments area does appear for single events does work and worked before I added the snippets.

    Hi,

    I can try to help you out on this.

    I also use Genesis and added both snippets from that ticket you referenced and changed the template for the Events Calendar on this page:

    Events > Settings > Display Tab > Events Template

    I changed the template to Default Page Template and then the comment form showed for me.

    Also, are comments turned on for everything in the Genesis Settings Page?

    I have seen issues if they are turned off for Posts or Pages on Custom Post Types.

    As soon as I changed the template to Default Page Template everything worked perfectly.
