I’m currently looking at creating a physical short-courses system (not e-learning, but simple bookings) for a small local college. I’m wondering if I can achieve my requirements with the events calendar pro and tickets plus plugins?
The courses will be a specific price and I would like people to be able to easily book their space on them. They will get a receipt of booking too.
I suppose my question is, would these plugins be suitable for this purpose? And if so, can I easily change the buttons to say ‘book now’ rather than buy now, as well as the acknowledge emails to remove any mention of the word ‘Tickets’.Many thanks

GuestAlso, is it possible to add the ticketing section in a sidebar/shortcode to add as a widget (theme has a page builder) higher up the page?

Thanks for stopping by and having a look at our plugins! 🙂 We’ve designed all of our plugins, including Events Calendar PRO and Event Tickets Plus, from the ground up to be as flexible as possible for a wide variety of use cases. Depending on the setup you’re envisioning here, you should have no problems using either or both of these plugins to sell slots for short courses–tickets can be attached to any post, page, or custom post type (such as a calendar event) of your choosing, and Knowledgebase articles such as this one provide more information on how you can change the plugin text to remove references to “tickets”. I’d be glad to answer any specific questions you might have about how to make your desired setup work with our products! 🙂
